“Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Women marry men with the hope they will change. Invariably they are both disappointed.”
Today was all about one thing, a night out with my wife, our first together as parents without our daughter. Two tickets to see Jason Manford, and the grandparents were baby sitting until we got back! I was eager to get home from work this afternoon, to try and get ready so we could be out on time, making sure we got there in plenty of time to park. The show was at Dudley Concert Hall, which is a lovely venue, although parking isn’t great, in fact the car park we’ve used the last couple of times has been closed down to build offices on it or something. Obviously this puts parking at even more of a premium, but we managed to find a space parking on the street near to where we expected to park anyway. The show itself was brilliant, Jason Manford is a very funny guy, I hope we can get tickets to see him again soon. Our next visit there will be around my birthday in May, to see Jimmy Carr, very funny and especially offensive, not everyones cup of tea! Its great to see such big acts at such small venues, it really lends itself to a more personal feel about the show. It was a lovely night out with the wife, and we both enjoyed ourselves, although we couldn’t deny that at the end of the night, we were both very excited at the thought of getting home to see our daughter for cuddles!
