“I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”
So day one of Ofsted is done, one day left to go. It has been a bit of a long and stressful day, and I really am looking forward to the weekend at the moment! I was up way too late last night and then up again early to get into work to make sure everything was as ready as it could be ahead of the inspectors arriving. It was cld and dark when I left the house, but on a plus note my new bike light had arrived when I got home yesterday and it is EPIC! So bright, it does actually make me feel a lot safer! I now have a decent front and back light and will be seen by everyone, just in time for the dark winter mornings and evenings.
So, another photo of the daughter, well I just had to, she was looking so snug and cosy in her nice warm sleep suit after her bath tonight. Previously we just bathed her as and when, making sure it was at least once a week, but now we need to make sure its a minimum of two nights a week, and it won’t be too long before its a nightly event before bed time. We have been really lucky lately, Olivia has been having her last feed between 11pm – 12am and then sleeping through until about 6-7am for her next one! Tomorrow we’re at 10 weeks old, and it feels like she has always been here, I can’t imagine life without her now. We have been so lucky, she is such a content, happy baby, she even enjoys bath time and rarely cries apart from when she is hungry or tired and struggling to get to sleep, although both are fairly easy to resolve! If we want to help her drift off to sleep, we found a free White Noise app for our iPhones has been quite effective at helping. For those wondering what white noise is, it sounds like a hissing tv that has no signal, but it certainly seems to do the trick! Routines are definitely starting to form now, and she is growing at a rapid rate, the bath she uses and moses basket she sleeps in are only just big enough for her now, when they initially seemed to swallow her when she first came home from hospital. I had to stop people from buying any more newborn clothes as she is fast outgrowing them, I’ve only managed to buy her a coat since she’s been born, as she hasn’t needed anything else. Still trying to work out what to do in terms of Christmas presents, what does one buy a baby for their first christmas??
