Day 312/365

It’s Friiiiiiiidddaaaaaayyyyyyy!!

The weekend has finally landed and I am truly ready for it! Spent most of this evening putting together our new oak effect tv stand, which now matches the rest of the room, much to the wife’s approval meaning less of a headache for me!

The day started with less energy than I was hoping for as I was up in the wee small hours listening to our poor little baby wheezing and snuffling and generally sounding like she was struggling for breath! A newborn baby with a cold can be quite a distressing sound for parents. After a bit of digging for info on google, there were multiple suggestions that a humidifier would help, so I was up and scrubbing my trusty old humidifier an hour before my alarm was due to go off, which was probably in excess of 15 years old, and certainly hadn’t seen daylight since the house move over three months ago! Sadly when I plugged it in, it died (and consequently shorted the mains ring and lights) so I now have to look into buying a new one, although for a decent one, they’re not cheap. So far tonight, Olivia has been asleep for a couple of hours in her moses basket and sounds fine. Looks like I am at least good until tomorrow to buy one. So now she has had her final bottle of the night and the wife has been in bed for a little while, I am at least hoping that Olivia will sleep through until morning now as its the wife who tends to wake in the middle of the night, and deserves a good nights sleep! Lets just keep our fingers crossed that the cold passed as quickly as it arrived and all is good with the world again!

I don’t normally do this, but I am going to leave you with one feel good story of the day. If you have two minutes, watch this video clip, its not selling anything, its just to remind you that no matter how bad your day can get, there are still good people out there!
