Day 31/365 and month 1/12

“Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man’s growth without destroying his roots.”

Today is marking 31 out of my 365 photos, and marks the first complete month. Finding inspiration was easier on some days than it was on others, but I am hoping that as the daylight hours get longer, more opportunities will present themselves. I already know what I’ll be photographing tomorrow, and can’t wait to share it!

Day 26/365

“Poverty of goods is easily cured; poverty of soul, impossible.”

A little trip into the city centre allowed me the chance to have a little wander around with my camera and left me torn over some great images to use for today, but I love the life and vibrancy of the market place.

Day 25/365

All I could see from where I stood.

Stuck in traffic and passing a regular building on my way to work, I’d have preferred to have pulled over and got a better composition, but snow, a lack of parking places and rush hour traffic would have made that difficult. Maybe another day!

Day 24/365

“Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.”

The last thing I want to become on this 365 is a sunset bore, but I was on my way home from work today trying to figure out what to shoot and the sky just lit up, and at that point, it was decided!

While I am here, and you are reading this, I am going to start asking people to donate some money towards my next half marathon in March (as its getting a bit close now!) where I am raising money for Cystic Fibrosis for a very dear friend whose son was born with the condition. I hope you can spare a little something, 13 miles is a long way to run, and its a very good cause! Head over to uk.virginmoneygiving.com/andrewvokes and do your good deed for the day! I’ll love you for it!

Have a great evening everyone, its almost the weekend!

Day 23/365

“Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun.”

Anyone living near me will recognise this little bridge, I always drive past it and think how cheery it looks and how we should have more things decorated like this! Today is now marking 100 posts on my blog and 23 solid days of the 365 project, which I have remained more committed to than I thought I would. Finding new stuff every day isn’t easy, especially when the daylight hours are really short, but bear with me, it will get better !
